Netflix Announces Premiere Date for Arcane Season 2 in November 2024
Exciting news for fans of the hit animated series Arcane! Netflix has officially announced that the highly anticipated second season of Arcane will premiere on its streaming service in November 2024. Along with this announcement, a new key visual featuring the main cast and an extended sneak peek clip of season two were also released.
The first season of Arcane, released in 2021, was a huge success with nine episodes that were split into three parts. GKIDS acquired the home video and digital rights to the first season, adding to its popularity. The animated series is part of the larger League of Legends universe.
Returning for the second season are the three main voice cast members from the first season, including Ella Purnell as Jinx, Hailee Steinfeld as Vi, and Katie Leung as Caitlyn Kiramman. Fortiche Productions is once again handling the animation production, with Riot Games overseeing creative supervision.
Creators Christian Linke and Alex Yee, along with directors Pascal Charrue and Arnaud Delord, are spearheading the production of the second season. Originally scheduled for release in 2023, the second season was delayed but promises to deliver an even more thrilling storyline.
Arcane has already earned several awards and accolades, including Best Adaptation at The Game Awards and Outstanding Animated Program at the Primetime Emmy Awards. The series has also been recognized at the Annie Awards for its exceptional storytelling and animation.
Netflix describes the premise of Arcane as a captivating story set in the vibrant yet divided regions of Piltover and Zaun. The series delves into the origins of two iconic League champions and the forces that will ultimately drive them apart.
